  • Quite a few years ago, 1988/89?, my sister who then worked at Robert I’s on Main Street in Chico brought home a 1 lb. unmarked bag of Beef Jerky. It was the best damn beef jerky I’ve ever had. I asked her about it, and she said that a customer had come into the Restaurant and was trying to get people’s feedback on it. She said she paid a mere $20 for the whole bag. After my 1st piece, I was hooked. I must have consumed at least a 1/4 pound that night. Some years later at a liquor store, I saw what looked to be what I had eaten so many years before, although this time it was proudly marked Riley’s Peppered Beef Jerky. From reading on about Riley’s humble beginnings, it stated that they’,ve been around since 1981. I was just curious, wondering if it was Riley’s Beef Jerky that my sister had brought home that night? I love success stories, and I just want to say thank you for making such a top shelf product! I wish you many years, if not an eternity of superior beef jerky making. Everyone else just falls short.
